We Build & Migrate
Drupal Experiences
Led by Illia Stankevych, a Drupal-certified developer working with Drupal since 2009. We build, maintain, and migrate Drupal sites — specializing in Drupal 7 → 11 migrations for teams that need it done right.
Drupal Services
Full-cycle Drupal expertise — from architecture to ongoing support.
Custom Development
Bespoke modules, themes, and integrations built to your exact requirements. We follow Drupal coding standards and best practices.
D7 → D11 Migration
Structured migration path that preserves your content, users, and SEO. We handle data, custom modules, themes, and third-party integrations.
Security & Audits
Regular security reviews, automated patching pipelines, and Drupal SA response — keeping your site safe around the clock.
Headless / Decoupled
Drupal as a CMS backend feeding React, Next.js, or other frontends via Drupal's core JSON:API or the contributed GraphQL module.
Performance Optimisation
Caching strategies, CDN setup, database tuning, and BigPipe rendering — with fast, consistent response times as the goal.
Maintenance & Support
Proactive monitoring, core and contrib updates, SLA-backed support plans — so you can focus on your business.
Drupal 7 → Drupal 11 Migration
Drupal 7 reached end of life. Every day your site runs on D7 is a security risk. We make the path to Drupal 11 structured, transparent, and predictable.
Why Upgrade to Drupal 11?
Active security team, regular patches, and a modern codebase hardened against contemporary threats.
BigPipe rendering, improved cache metadata, and Symfony 7 under the hood mean faster page loads.
Twig templating, OOP APIs, Composer-based workflow, and full PHP 8.3 support.
JSON:API in core and a mature GraphQL module make headless and omni-channel delivery a first-class option.
Claro admin theme, Layout Builder, and improved media library reduce editorial training time.
Drupal 11 follows a semantic versioning release cycle — upgrade to minor versions with confidence.
The Migration Path Explained
There is no direct "upgrade" button from Drupal 7 to Drupal 11 — the underlying architecture changed fundamentally between D7 and D8. Migration is a structured data-and-code transformation project. Here's what that actually means:
Audit & Discovery
We inventory every module, custom code block, content type, view, and integration on your D7 site. Output: a detailed migration scope document with effort estimates.
Architecture Design
We design the D11 content model, decide which contrib modules to use, and plan integrations. Sometimes this is a 1-to-1 map; sometimes it's an opportunity to simplify.
Build the D11 Instance
We set up Drupal 11 with all required modules, configure content types and fields, and build or port the theme to a modern base (Olivero, custom, or headless).
Data Migration via Migrate API
Drupal's core Migrate API is used to move nodes, taxonomy, users, files, and custom entities. We write and test migration plugins for every content type, including custom fields.
Custom Module Rewrite
D7 hooks are rewritten as D11 services, plugins, and event subscribers. We port or replace any contrib modules that no longer exist in D11.
QA, UAT & SEO Checks
Full content review, URL alias mapping, redirect setup, and structured automated testing catch missing content, broken links, and SEO regressions before launch.
Launch & Cutover
We execute a rehearsed cutover plan — final data sync, DNS switch, cache warm-up — aiming for minimal or no downtime and a clean go-live.

Drupal Migration FAQ
Honest answers to the questions every Drupal site owner asks before starting a migration.
Is Drupal 7 still supported?
No. Drupal 7 reached official end of life on January 5, 2025. The community no longer issues security patches, which means any vulnerability discovered after that date will never be officially fixed. Running a Drupal 7 site today means accepting full liability for security incidents.
Can I upgrade directly from Drupal 7 to Drupal 11?
No. There is no direct upgrade path. Drupal 8 introduced a completely new architecture based on Symfony and object-oriented PHP, replacing the hook-based procedural system used in Drupal 7. Moving from D7 to D11 is a migration project — you build a new D11 site and migrate your content using Drupal's core Migrate API.
How long does a Drupal 7 to Drupal 11 migration take?
Typically 6 to 16 weeks, depending on site complexity. A simple brochure site with standard content types and no custom modules can migrate in 6–8 weeks. An enterprise site with multiple custom modules, complex content models, and third-party integrations typically takes 12–16 weeks. We provide a precise estimate after a free audit of your D7 site.
How much does a Drupal 7 to Drupal 11 migration cost?
Migration costs range from roughly $8,000 for simple brochure sites to $40,000+ for complex enterprise sites with custom modules, large content libraries, and multiple integrations. We offer fixed-price engagements for well-scoped projects so there are no surprises. Request a free assessment to get a realistic budget estimate for your specific site.
Will my content be preserved during migration?
Yes. Drupal's core Migrate API is specifically designed to transfer content from a source database to a new Drupal instance. We migrate nodes, users, taxonomy terms, files, and all custom entities. Every migration run includes validation checks, and we perform full content reviews before go-live.
Will my SEO rankings be affected by the migration?
A carefully handled migration keeps the risk low, though some short-term fluctuation is normal after any relaunch. We preserve URL aliases, set up 301 redirects for any URLs that change, migrate meta tags and structured data, and verify sitemap continuity. SEO is a first-class item on our QA checklist, not an afterthought.
Do my custom Drupal 7 modules need to be rewritten?
Yes. Drupal 7 used procedural hooks (e.g., hook_node_load()); Drupal 11
uses an object-oriented, service-based system built on Symfony. Custom modules must be
rewritten as D11 services, plugins, controllers, and event subscribers. In most cases
the business logic is preserved; only the implementation pattern changes.
What is the Drupal Migrate API?
The Migrate API is a core Drupal subsystem (introduced in Drupal 8, refined through D11) that provides a plugin-based ETL framework: Extract data from a source (such as a Drupal 7 database), Transform it to match the destination's data model, and Load it into the new Drupal 11 site. It handles all core entity types out of the box, and custom migration plugins cover any project-specific data.
